I have been having a blast most of my life. The relationships I have had, have been fun. I never fell in love until recently and found out what a great feeling that is, the selflessness gave me freedom that I had never had before. I no longer counted, in my head, what the score was. It was nice to care about someone else and not worry about yourself, and your own needs. It felt so good.
That relationship will never work out, but the feelings I had, I want to find again.
I have always been1 to teeter between my head and my heart. I am not your typical math teacher, or any teacher for that matter. Relationships are the spice of life, all of them.
Teaching gives me experiences everyday. I get the gamut emotionally, and I like most of em. Life is full of hidden secrets, so precious, it is not to be missed. I feel like so many around me are "missing it "! It is why I love teaching. If I didnt get paid, I would still do it.
I like the "breaks " we have, to travel, to get away from it all. Most days are fine but sometimes, mentally it wears you down.
Besides teaching I have lots of other interests, starting with travel, riding the cycle, and all too many projects in the works. I like to do lots of things, variety is what makes me happiest. I especially enjoy people of other cultures. In many ways our culture has lost its "base ", its roots, it seems so shallow and materialistic. The best things in life are free. What is important costs nothing.

Many of us spend most of our time thinking of the past, brooding on the bad experiences, dwelling on past laurels, or planning, looking forward to and worrying about the future. That was bad, I wish it didn't happen. I shouldn't have done that. That was good, wish I could have it again. Wow it was wonderful, let me live through it in my mind again and again. Something good is coming, can't wait. Once it comes, life would be better. Oh dear something bad is approaching, what should I do, how should I handle it. Things are fine now, will something go wrong soon? The list goes on.
In doing all that, we are making the big mistake of losing what is the most important of them all - the present.
What's past is over. We can't change it. Enjoy the sweet memories. Let the bad experiences be a valuable lesson to us. Learn from them.
Plan for the future. But don't dwell too much on it. Life is unpredictable, and we have no idea what is going to happen next. When it comes, it comes - the future will take care of itself.
What really matters is the present, because we are living it RIGHT NOW. Make the fullest use of it. As some people say, the past is history, the future is a mystery. And now? Well, it's a gift, that's why it's called the present.
